How long does white wine last? 🥂
Unopened white wine
- Everyday wines: 1–3 years
- High-quality wines (e.g. Riesling, Chardonnay): 3–5 years, some premium wines even longer
Opened white wine
- 1–4 days in the refrigerator
- Slightly longer with a vacuum seal
- Fresh, fruity wines spoil faster than strong, barrel-aged white wines

Can wine go bad? ⚠️
- Vinegary or musty smell
- Brown discolouration in white wine
- Oxidised, flat or bitter taste
- Cloudy sediment in otherwise clear wine
Tips for storing wine correctly 🏡
- Store in a dark place away from direct sunlight
- Keep at a constant temperature (ideally 10–15 °C)
- Humidity approx. 60–80%
- Store bottles with corks lying down
- Store opened bottles in the refrigerator and use a vacuum seal
