- Classic notes of cassis, tobacco & pencil shavings 🍇
- Dark fruit, fine structure & long elegant finish 🍫🍷
- Aged 18 months in French oak barrels ⏳
The Bartinney Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is a bold yet refined red wine that beautifully balances power and poise. On the nose, it reveals classic aromas of cassis, fragrant tobacco and a hint of pencil shavings - elegant and unmistakably Cabernet.
On the palate, it offers dark plum, bitter chocolate and a firm but well-integrated tannin structure that brings length and depth. The finish is smooth, elegant and long-lasting - a wine that captivates from the very first sip.
The grapes were harvested from eight different slopes of the Bartinney estate, each vinified separately to reflect their unique origin. After a seven-day fermentation and extended maceration of over a month, the wine was aged for 18 months in French oak - 30% new, 70% second fill.
An excellent companion to food: enjoy with grilled beef, slow-cooked lamb or earthy mushroom dishes. A must for lovers of classically styled, structured red wines.
