Furthermore, there is the International Wine Challenge, the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, the Veritas Awards, the TOP 100 SA Wines, the Wine Spectator Points and many, many more. The awards act as a quality confirmation for customers and producers are rewarded for their effort. On the one hand, the wine competitions give the winemakers, producers, importers and consumers a forum which allows a comparison of the wines amongst each other and on the other hand, they are a decision support and orientation guide for the next wine purchase.
