The Alto Rouge celebrates its 100th anniversary with this vintage — a milestone in South African wine history. Another highlight: the Alto Rouge Magnum is available in a large bottle, exclusively from CAPREO throughout Europe.
This iconic red wine, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (44%), Shiraz (42%), Cabernet Franc (12%) and Petit Verdot (2%), shines in a deep red colour and reveals a complex, layered character in the glass. Intense fruity notes of blackberries and plums meet subtle nuances of oak and pine needles, adding extra depth.
Eighteen months of ageing in French and American oak barrels give the Alto Rouge Magnum its good structure and soft, well-integrated tannins.
For a perfect pairing, enjoy this magnum with beef dishes, pasta, or mature cheeses. Of course, the 100th vintage of this outstanding red wine is also a true pleasure when enjoyed on its own.
