On the nose, this cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon (44%), Merlot (40%), Cabernet Franc (12%), and Petit Verdot (4%) impresses with its unmistakable bouquet: violets, ripe plums, delicate hints of cedarwood and fennel meet intense spice notes. Typical licorice notes harmoniously round off the aromatic profile, emphasizing the complexity of this wine.
On the palate, the Meerlust Rubicon still appears youthful and intense. The wine impresses with a full-bodied palate and a clear structure, highlighted by the freshness of dark fruits and rounded tannins.
