Book XVII is the culmination of more than two decades of meticulous vineyard observation and analysis, examining everything from soil composition and weather patterns to maritime influences. The result is an exceptional Bordeaux-style blend crafted with the ambition of standing among the world’s finest wines.
Only around 1,200 to 1,400 bottles are produced each year. Every bottle is individually numbered and presented in a luxurious black wooden case. A distinctive feature is the elegantly integrated key used to open the screwed lid, transforming the unveiling of this rare collector’s wine into a memorable experience.
The cool and dry 2023 vintage produced dense, concentrated yet creamy tannins. Compared to the previous vintage, the wine displays greater finesse, tension, minerality and freshness. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec combine to create a wine of remarkable purity, balancing dark and red fruit with impressive precision.
On the palate, Book XVII is powerful yet refined. Dark berry fruit, subtle spice and mineral nuances are supported by a silky texture and exceptional balance. Twenty-two months of maturation in 100% new French oak barrels add further depth, complexity and structure.
