The bouquet opens with wild blackberry, ripe cranberry, tobacco leaf and pencil shavings, wrapped in a savoury, mouthwatering salinity and lifted by delicate floral perfume.
On the palate, the wine is vibrant and refined with pure blackcurrant, dried herbs and fine graphite notes. Superfine tannins and bright acidity give the wine structure, elegance and exceptional length.
Aged for 18 months in French oak (35 % new), Fox’s Lair is a polished, expressive Helderberg red with depth and poise.
