In the glass, the Cabernet Sauvignon displays a deep ruby-red colour. The layered bouquet of spicy mocha, chocolate and delicate tea leaf notes gives the wine its distinctive aromatic depth. Subtle oak spice and savoury nuances add further complexity, highlighting its classic style.
On the palate, the Kanonkop Cabernet Sauvignon is full-bodied, complex and elegantly structured. Spicy mocha and chocolate flavours are complemented by delicate savoury nuances, creating a layered and expressive tasting experience. Its classic character and long, dry finish make it a distinguished example of Cabernet Sauvignon.
The 24-month maturation in French Nevers oak, using equal proportions of new and second-fill barrels, adds further depth and subtle oak spice. With its complex character and lingering finish, the Kanonkop Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 pairs beautifully with juicy steak, roast beef, hearty meat casseroles and mature cheeses.
