Product information "Buitenverwachting Christine 2018"
On the nose, it reveals an expressive profile of blackberry, vanilla and fine spice, complemented by piquant nuances, ripe cherry, currant, tobacco and chocolate.
On the palate, the blend is full-bodied, structured and harmonious, with velvety fruit density, finely spiced tannins and an elegant interplay of depth, power and finesse.
Aged for 24 months in new French barriques followed by a further 3.5 years in bottle, the wine gains maturity, complexity and length. It pairs especially well with grilled or roasted beef, braised lamb or mature hard cheese.
