Product information "Anthonij Rupert Optima 2022"
On the nose, it reveals a layered aromatic profile of dark berries, fruitcake and warm spice, complemented by subtle floral notes and a hint of cracked pepper.
On the palate, this red wine is supple, textured and harmonious, with rich berry fruit, gentle spice and a velvety mouthfeel. The well-integrated oak supports the fruit without dominating it.
The 20-month maturation in French barriques and an additional two years of bottle ageing give the Optima depth, poise and balance. Its long, elegant finish with dark fruit and fine spice makes it rewarding now, while also offering beautiful potential for further ageing.
