Carafe

A carafe is a glass vessel, usually bottle-shaped, consisting of a round belly and narrow neck. The volume is usually one to one and a half liters. Carafes for serving have been around since the 18th century. However, it is also popular for decanting, so as to separate the wine from the sediment. The most important thing about a carafe is a clear glass, so that the color of the wine is shown to its full advantage.
