The Kanonkop Pinotage 2008 originates from 54-year-old bush vines on the Simonsberg in Stellenbosch. The combination of old vines and traditional viticulture contributes to a classic regional character.
On the nose, it reveals intense fruit aromas of plum, cherry and banana, showcasing the distinctive character of Pinotage.
The palate is powerful and balanced, with ripe fruit, harmonious acidity and well-integrated tannins.
Aged for 15 months in French oak, the wine gains additional structure and depth. It offers an ageing potential of 20–25 years and will continue to evolve over time.
