Bardolino

The eponymous cuvée named after the Italian town of Bardolino is composed of the grape varieties Corvina, Rondinella and Moinara. Bardolino is produced in the quality levels DOC (Denominazione di Origine Controllata) and DOCG (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita). Wines of the DOC quality level may call themselves "Bardolino classico". If the red wine has been aged in barrels for at least one year, it receives the DOCG seal and may call itself "Bardolino Superiore".

Ruby red wine from Italy

The Italian red wine usually shines in a bright ruby color in the glass and brings out fruity notes. Aromas of red berries are rounded out with spicy notes of cinnamon, clove and pepper. The calcareous soils give the wine a distinctive mineratlity. Bardolino red wines pair perfectly with pizza and pasta from classic Italian cuisine. The recommended drinking temperature is 14 to 16 degrees Celsius.
