Product information "Steenberg Canvas Collection Nebbiolo 2022"
On the nose, it reveals a layered profile of raspberry, sour cherry, strawberry and dried porcini mushroom, complemented by aniseed, rooibos tea leaf, rose petal, violet and lavender.
On the palate, the Nebbiolo is fresh, structured and persistent, with natural acidity, pronounced tannins and a slightly lighter, well-rounded mouthfeel. Notes of sour cherry, raspberry and tobacco leaf linger with impressive length.
Aged for 24 months in French oak, the wine gains additional depth and balance. It pairs especially well with game dishes, dark meat or savoury dishes with mushrooms and tomato-based sauces.

Ecologic Cultivation at Steenberg
Due to an ecological process, Steenberg creates an array of well-loved wines. The winery only utilizes biological pest control and natural predators of the vermin in order to influence the vines as little as possible. From the grape up to the bottle, the wines are geared to create an unforgettable experience which mirrors the terroir. The soils include granite and significantly contribute to the characteristic minerality of the wines. Steenberg cultivates grape varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz and Nebbiolo.
