Product information "Kanonkop Pinotage 2016 SPECIAL 10 YEARS RELEASE"
In the glass, this Pinotage displays a deep purple colour. The intense bouquet of black plums, red and dark berries is complemented by delicate notes of vanilla and aromatic sweet spices. Layers of ripe fruit and subtle spice create an expressive and inviting aromatic profile.
On the palate, the Kanonkop Pinotage is complex, well-balanced and beautifully approachable. Generous layers of red and black fruit unfold harmoniously, creating an appealing and multifaceted drinking experience. With further bottle ageing, the wine will develop additional savoury nuances that enhance its complexity.
The 16-month maturation in French Nevers oak, predominantly in new barrels, complements the rich fruit character with subtle oak and spice notes. The Kanonkop Pinotage 2016 is an excellent food companion, pairing beautifully with game, duck, aromatic curries and spicy Asian-inspired dishes.
