The 2001 vintage is regarded as an excellent vintage at Kanonkop. Balanced growing conditions and warm, dry ripening weather produced concentrated grapes with classic structure.
In the glass, the wine displays a deep ruby colour. The bouquet reveals ripe berry aromas, subtle nutty notes and elegant spice, adding further complexity.
On the palate, the Cabernet Sauvignon is full-bodied, classically structured and beautifully matured, with refined tannins and a long, dry finish. Twenty months ageing in French Nevers oak enhances the wine’s depth and longevity.
A mature Kanonkop with true rarity and collector appeal – perfect for special occasions and lovers of aged fine wines.
