Deep dark red in colour, it reveals aromas of blackcurrant, ripe plum, and delicate oak spice. The palate is well-rounded, balanced, and structured, offering silky tannins, concentrated fruit, and a juicy, lingering finish with subtle cedar notes.
The grapes are sourced from 25-year-old bush vines planted in Oakleaf soils. Fermentation took place in open fermenters at 25–28 °C with manual punch-downs every two hours. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged for 14 months in 2nd and 3rd fill French oak barrels.
A refined and powerful Pinotage with excellent balance and ageing potential – a true expression of Stellenbosch excellence.
