Harvest

Harvest, also called grape harvest, is the process of picking ripe grapes that are on the vines to the point of transporting them to the winery. The year or vintage of the harvest is also called vintage. On the one hand, the harvest is differentiated according to its type. One can decide on manual harvesting or mechanical harvesting. On the other hand, there is the early harvest and the main harvest. As a rule, the grapes are harvested in autumn, but this varies depending on the location, climate and grape variety. When harvesting, it is important that the grapes are ripe and healthy. The quality of the tannins is one of the most important indicators of whether the grape has been harvested ripe.
