Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch is the heart of South Africa and a district in the Coastal Region. It is named after the university town of the same name, which is about 60 kilometers east of Cape Town. Stellenbosch accounts for 15% of South Africa's wine production and features grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc anyway Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Leading wineries there are Tokara, Delaire Graf, Kanonkop and Spier. Due to a varied and diverse landscape, Stellenbosch is one of the most fertile wine regions in the Cape. A mixture of a sunny warm climate and the cooling from the Atlantic Ocean also offers a perfect condition for the production of typical South African premium wine.
