Product information "Waterford Estate Single Vineyard Chardonnay 2022"
The warm and dry 2022 vintage resulted in smaller berries with outstanding concentration, adding intensity and structure to the wine. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand, requiring up to eight selective picking passes to ensure optimal ripeness throughout the vineyard.
The nose reveals stone fruit, melon, citrus blossom and honeysuckle aromas, complemented by subtle minerality and hints of green olive leaf.
On the palate, the Chardonnay is precise and focused, showing flavours of white peach, nectarine and flinty minerality. The oak is beautifully integrated, adding depth and structure without overshadowing the fruit. A chalky texture and vibrant acidity lead into a long, elegant finish.
With an ageing potential of up to 15 years, this Single Vineyard Chardonnay ranks among South Africa’s finest white wines, combining terroir, precision and timeless elegance.
