The name Barrique refers to its ten-month maturation in oak barrels, which imparts a creamy texture and a subtly integrated oak character. The masterful combination of the richness of Sémillon with the freshness of Sauvignon Blanc creates perfect harmony in the glass.
On the palate, Vrede en Lust Barrique is rich and complex with earthy undertones, elegant balance, and lingering mineral nuances. Aromas of ripe pear, quince, apple and jasmine blossoms meet a hint of hazelnut, contributed by the moderate oak influence.
Vrede en Lust Barrique is a delight on its own, but it also pairs beautifully with creamy seafood dishes. This wine turns every moment of indulgence into something truly special.
