On the palate, the wine reveals a creamy opening and a well-structured tannin profile that transitions into a velvety mouthfeel. The elegant Blaauwklippen De Blaauwe Klip was aged for eighteen months in French oak and concludes with a highly aromatic finish.
A remarkable wine that pairs perfectly with game dishes, but is also a delight to enjoy on its own. Incidentally, the name pays homage to the blue granite soil in the Dwarsriver and was the earliest known name for the Blaauwklippen estate.
