Gewürztraminer is a very aromatic white wine
Yellow-red berries can also make an aromatic white wine: Gewürztraminer. Its origin is unclear, but it is known what the name of the old and noble grape variety refers to – the town of Tramin in South Tyrol. Characteristic of Gewürztraminer is the intense aroma of lychee, roses and marzipan as well as a mild acidity.

What our Customers think
Gewürztraminer is an easy decernable premium grape
Gewürztraminer is a premium white wine grape that is decernable by its intensive aromas. It has flavours of lychee and smells like rose petals. Gewürztraminer yields spicy, full-bodied and aromatic wines that experts rate to the range of premium wines. Typical nuances for this variety are marzipan, Turkish Delight and smoked bacon. The nose also perceives aromas of fruity oranges and oriental spices. The most aromatic varieties of Gewürztraminer grow in Alsace.
Gewürztraminer – Hard to cultivate but worth the effort
Gewürztraminer is a white wine grape but it has lightly red coloured, medium-size, densely berried grapes. The variety ripes a little late and has high requirements on location and floors. The floors need to be easily warmed up, deep and not too dry. The yield is rather small and uncertain and because of that wine growers are cautious in the cultivation of Gewürztraminer. Dispite the risks, Gewürztraminer is common in the whole world. One can find this variety in Germany, France, South Tirol (Upper Adige) and the USA.
Gewürztraminer tastes delicious at dinner and as a pre-dinner drink
