Waiter's knife

A waiter's knife or sommelier's knife is a tool for opening wine and other bottles. It has three useful functions that make any (wine) bottle easy to open. For the crown cap, a waiter's knife usually has an integrated bottle opener. For wine bottles with corks, the waiter's knife has a sharp fold-out blade that is used to open the capsule - alternatively, you can use the tip of the spindle for this purpose. The spindle of the corkscrew is then rotated into the center of the cork and with the help of the helical action, the cork can then be removed quickly and easily without leaving any cork residue in the wine. Waiter's knives come in every price range and look, whether brushed or polished stainless steel, wood or horn.
