Product information "Lanzerac Keldermeester Versameling Kurtrekker 2023"
The name “Kurktrekker” – Afrikaans for corkscrew – refers to the famous “Jonkershoek Kurktrekkers Neck” hiking route, which resembles the shape of a corkscrew. The wine captures the spirit and rugged beauty of the Jonkershoek Valley, home to Lanzerac.
This single-varietal Cinsaut originates from a vineyard planted in 2021 in the Jonkershoek Valley. Whole-bunch fermentation in open fermenters and gentle basket pressing created a refined wine with silky texture and soft tannins.
On the nose, Kurktrekker 2023 reveals delicate floral aromas with earthy undertones. The palate is smooth, elegant and refined with a subtle yet lingering finish.
A modern terroir-driven Cinsaut with boutique character, cool-climate elegance and remarkable balance.
