Product information "Dornier Pinotage 2023"
Deep garnet in colour, it offers aromas of cherry, red berries and a touch of rosewater, followed by notes of plum, bitter cherry, strawberry jam and black pepper on the palate. The texture is concentrated, smooth and well-balanced, with refined oak spice on the finish.
Sourced from a dryland bushvine vineyard in the Swartland with sandy soils and coffee stone, the grapes produce small, intensely flavoured berries. After fermentation, the wine underwent malolactic fermentation and was aged for 18 months in French oak (10% new), adding structure and finesse.
A powerful, refined Pinotage with vibrant fruit, gentle spice and remarkable balance – perfect with roast meats, game or spiced South African dishes.
