Product information "Asara Speciality Collection Passione Pinotage 2022"
In the glass, it displays a deep ruby hue. The bouquet reveals seductive aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, and vanilla, intertwined with subtle notes of toasted oak and warm spice. On the palate, the Pinotage is smooth, full-bodied, and balanced, offering layers of black plum, ripe raspberry, and a touch of dark chocolate. Gentle smokiness and silky tannins lead to a long, harmonious finish.
The grapes originate from a single vineyard located 220 metres above sea level in Stellenbosch. The south- and southwest-facing slopes with decomposed granite and clay soils provide excellent structure, freshness, and depth. After hand-harvesting, the wine matured for up to 18 months in French oak barrels, enhancing its complexity and refinement.
A powerful yet elegant red wine with fine spice and supple texture – perfect with lamb, beef fillet, or slow-cooked vegetable dishes.
