The nose reveals juicy blueberry and plum aromas, complemented by subtle smoky notes and a touch of cocoa that add gentle depth.
On the palate, the wine is lively and fresh. Juicy berry fruit, a light cocoa nuance and supple tannins create a harmonious mouthfeel with a firm yet yielding frame.
Twelve months of maturation in older French oak barrels add polish without masking the fruit. With its balanced character, Protea Merlot is well suited to relaxed, everyday enjoyment.
