What our Customers think
Jordan Wine Estate – Where Nature, Innovation & Craftsmanship Meet
Located in the heart of the world-renowned Stellenbosch wine region, Jordan Wine Estate is one of South Africa’s most respected wineries. Since the 1980s, Gary and Kathy Jordan have shaped the estate with visionary spirit and an unwavering commitment to quality. Their philosophy: to bring together the unique terroir, innovative technology, and traditional winemaking in perfect harmony.
Thanks to its spectacular hillside location, with panoramic views of Table Mountain, False Bay, and the surrounding mountains, Jordan combines stunning natural beauty with state-of-the-art wine architecture. The gravity-flow cellar, built into the slope, uses natural cooling – a model for sustainable, resource-conscious winemaking.
Jordan Wines – Authentic, Elegant & Terroir-Driven
The vineyards of Jordan Wine Estate stretch across 164 hectares, with elevations ranging from 160 to 410 metres above sea level and slopes facing all compass directions – ideal for growing a wide range of classic grape varieties. The vines are rooted in ancient granite, clay, and sandy soils and benefit from cooling breezes from both the Indian and Atlantic Oceans, ensuring freshness and balance.
Varieties such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Chenin Blanc, and Merlot develop remarkably pure expressions under these conditions. In the cellar, the team focuses on precise vinification: stainless steel tanks with individual cooling bands and oak barrels for classic maturation – as seen in the Burgundian-style Chardonnay. The result is wines of finesse, structure, and ageing potential that captivate both critics and wine lovers alike.
Taste, Hospitality & Experience – A Visit to Jordan Wine Estate
A visit to Jordan Wine Estate offers far more than traditional wine tastings. On the expansive estate, with its lake, forest, and vineyards, countless moments of pleasure await: from private tastings and outdoor wine tours with breathtaking views of the Stellenbosch Mountains, to stylish picnic pods by the water with gourmet baskets filled with local delights.
A culinary highlight is the award-winning Jordan Restaurant, where Chef Marthinus Ferreira serves contemporary South African cuisine with international flair – making Jordan Wine Estate an unforgettable destination for wine, food, and nature lovers alike.
