Blaauwklippen Wine Is Created on the Wine Slope
Blaauwklippen wine results from the wine slope that has mainly been left naturally. The winery made it its mission to produce premium products without the use of complicated cellar technologies and focuses more on an ecological approach to nature. This can be tasted in almost any Blaauwklippen wine.
Blaauwklippen Selections
The estate Blaauwklippen offers wine in a variety of categories, which are beyond doubt regarding quality and taste. The Cultivar Selection is constituted of red and white wines which let the grapes' typical characteristics shine through fully. You can still taste a typical Malbec, Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon in wines from this range. Last but not least, the Vineyard Selection: it aims at the wine lover. In this category, he can find wines that have been especially carefully treated. From the cautious harvest up to the small oak barrels in which they mature - all the love that Blaauwklippen devotes to its products can be found here.
Blaauwklippen with Natural Cultivation
The Winemakers from Blaauwklippen see themselves as catalysts for the grape varieties and let the vines ripen naturally. The granite soils feature valuable minerals and save the sun's warmth, which makes for optimal temperatures even at night. Hence, the winemakers have to intervene very little. Since 2004, the winery exclusively uses natural yeasts in order to not influence the fermentation too artificially. The unique taste of the Blaauwklippen wine develops, which gives character to red as well as white wine. The winemakers fulfil the ambitious aim, that every grape variety can be tasted, year after year.
