On the palate, the red wine from South Africa's national grape is velvety smooth and the tannins are well integrated. The grapes used for the complex Rickety Bridge The Crossover Pinotage, limited to 3010 bottles, come from Franschhoek and skilfully reflect the terroir. Spicy dishes, duck, dark meat or game are an excellent choice with the red wine, which was matured for 24 months in French oak. The Rickety Bridge winery is located in the immediate vicinity of Franschhoek, a place known for its excellent South African wines and tasty delicacies. Located between the Dassenberg Mountain and the Franschhoek River, the vineyard blends perfectly into an almost picturesque panorama. Rickety Bridge is a winery with a long tradition. The history goes back to the 17th century, when the manor was part of the La Provence farm. The farm was originally managed by Huguenot farmers and it was not until 1990 that the current Rickety Bridge winery was founded.
