Mundus Vini

Mundus Vini is an international wine award from Germany that was launched in 2001. Already at the first competition, 2235 wines from all wine-growing regions of the world were examined. Mundus Vini awards three medals: the Grand Gold (at least 95 out of 100 points), Gold (at least 90 points) and Silver (at least 85 points). Criteria in the examination are the appearance, the taste, the smell as well as the harmony in the interaction with the overall impression. The jury consists of international oenologists, wine critics, trade journalists and also scientists. The aims of Mundus Vini are to promote quality and to provide guidance for interested parties when choosing to buy a wine. Mundus Vini thus provides a forum for comparing wines and reaches a broad public.
