Malbec
Malbec is a French red wine grape variety, it originates from the former province of Quercy in France. Malbec is sensitive to frost and also offers little resistance to disease. Nevertheless, the cultivation of these grapes is worthwhile, as Malbec wines are always among the best red wines. They offer a fruity spiciness paired with plum and tobacco notes. The pure Malbec develops its freshness only after long maturation. The colour varies from dark red to a blackish red. South Africa offers Malbec an ideal climate and excellent soil conditions. As a result, some of the country's most renowned wineries have adopted the grape variety.
