Werner Schrenk
Wine-making is both an art and a science, and within two decades Peter Falke's unique terroir has been better understood. The philosophy of the winery is to capture the essence of the terroir in the grapes and to use modern winemaking techniques in order to minimise the need to intervene in the natural process. The success of this is demonstrated by the fact that winegrower Werner Schrenk, a member of Peter Falke's team since 2007, has already received numerous awards and silver and gold medals for his creations.

Peter Falke Wines – Great Passion and Delightful Premium Wines
In the heart of the South African wine region Stellenbosch, on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountains, lies the estate Peter Falke Wines. The Groenvlei Farm is located here and dates back to the 18th century. The world-renowned hosiery manufacturer Peter Falke and his French wife Daniele are among the most renowned wine producers in South Africa today. Peter Falke discovered his passion for South Africa and South African wine at an early age. On the occasion of a site opening of the textile manufacturer Falke in the 1970s, he came to South Africa and continued to visit the country and its people on a regular basis. Years passed until the successful entrepreneur and his wife decided to fulfil their dream. In the middle of the 90s, they acquired the long-established Groenvlei property. Today, the Peter Falke Wines estate shines with a blend of long-standing tradition and up-to-date modernity. As a designer, Daniele is largely responsible for the beautiful interior architecture of the building and its furnishings. The ambience is complemented by a state-of-the-art wine cellar, an elegant boutique full of harmony as well as a luxurious outdoor lounge including an adjacent restaurant. All these components round off the feel-good package on the estate.
Ideal Conditions for Winemaking at Peter Falke
The Peter Falke winery benefits from an exceptional terroir in Stellenbosch, the country's most famous wine region. The maritime climate with its constant pleasant temperatures gives the grapes excellent conditions for ripening. For the team of Peter Falke Wines, winemaking represents art and science at the same time. For decades, the winemakers of the estate have been observing and learning to adapt the exceptional terroir to the particular grape varieties. With the traditional harvest done by hand and a wine production with minimal intervention, absolute premium wines from South Africa are created.
The Two Ranges of Peter Falke Wines
The wine collection of Peter Falke Wines consists of two ranges. The Signature Range is based on contemporary tastes and appeals to the discerning wine connoisseur, while the PF Range includes relaxed, stylish sociality and nevertheless has a multi-faceted, yet easily accessible character. The Signature Range consists of wines of the highest quality. The Peter Falke Kanoa, composed of the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, captivates with its full and rich aromas. The PF Range consists of five high class wines. With deep notes of spices and aromas of plums, rhubarb and cloves, the Peter Falke Ruby Blend, a blend made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, entices connoisseurs. Cabernet Sauvignon has fruity aromas of raspberry and mulberry. All wines of the estate have received numerous awards and distinctions in the past. The makers at Peter Falke Wines are working hard to ensure that many more will be added in the future.
