On the nose, it reveals an inviting aromatic profile of strawberries, red fruit and delicate fynbos notes. The fruit-driven aromas are complemented by subtle earthiness, adding depth and distinctive character.
On the palate, this Grenache Noir is juicy, vibrant and subtly spicy. Flavours of pomegranate and raspberry meet delicate nuances of white pepper and oak. The harmonious interplay of pure fruit and gentle spice creates a layered tasting experience.
The 18 months of maturation in French oak add structure and depth to Muratie Mr. May Grenache Noir 2023. Partial spontaneous whole-berry fermentation further highlights its individual style. Served slightly chilled at around 13°C, this characterful red wine pairs beautifully with grilled meat or aromatic spiced vegetables.
