Graham Beck Cuvée Clive 2018

Product information "Graham Beck Cuvée Clive 2018"
The Graham Beck Cuvée Clive epitomises the pursuit of perfection and is a celebrated world-class sparkling wine. This high-quality Cap Classique not only shines from the outside with a beautiful golden colour, but impresses above all with its complex aromas on the nose and palate. Delicate white flowers, sun-ripened lemons and delicious white peach mingle with notes of roasted almonds, ginger and freshly baked shortbread. Citrus fruits, juicy pears and crisp green apple harmonise on the palate and are accompanied by subtle oak notes. The Cap Classique from Chardonnay (95%) has been refined with a touch of Pinot Noir (5%) and is impressively elegant and complex. The combination of a lively acidity and a creamy perlage makes for an incredibly great mouthfeel. Enjoy the Graham Beck Cuvée Clive with fruity desserts, small canapés or dishes with fish or poultry. You should also definitely enjoy the Graham Beck Cuvée Clive on its own on a special occasion.

Graham Beck – Try & Enjoy South African Wines

The foundation for the success of Graham Beck was laid in 1983 by the man behind the name – Graham Beck, when he purchased the original winery Madeba. The estate is located 10 kilometres west of the Western Cape town Robertson and 140 kilometres from Cape Town. His ambition: building a world-class winery in South Africa! After a short amount of time, he had reached his aim. Nowadays, Graham Back is in the third generation.

Graham Beck is situated on the famous Route 62

The winery Graham Beck is located amidst the beautiful Breede River valley at the border of the semi-arid Little Karoo region. The two rivers Breede and Finch divide the estate which is flanked on the side by the Langeberg Mountains. The winery is located on the famous Route 62, a meandering country road which takes visitors on an unforgettable tour of the region’s plentiful attractions. With its beautiful landscape and high quality wines, Graham beck invites to try, enjoy, stay, discover and to always come back.

Unusual Terroirs for Outstanding Quality

At the winery Graham Beck, the Chief Operating Officer Pieter Ferreira makes sure to intervene as little as possible in the natural processes; rather, the authentic essence of the grapes as well as the terroir should develop and be easily recognizable in the finished wine. Pieter Ferreira has been with Graham Beck since 1990 - for a long time as cellar master - and is considered the best South African sparkling wine producer. It is said that he has ‘bubbles in his blood’. The passion for sparkling wines such as the famous Cap Classique can also be found in the person Graham Beck himself who was often called ‘South Africa’s Sparkling Wine King’ during his lifetime. Pieter Ferreira always tries to make sure the various microclimates and the various types of soil suit the planted vines. The unique, cool and arid climate of the Robertson region combined with the rich limestone soils produce wines with worldwide appeal and star quality. The other cultivation areas are all located in the Stellenbosch region alongside the False Bay, not more than two kilometres away from the ocean. The proximity to the sea ensures that there is always a constant, cool breeze and the grapes simultaneously ripen to excellent quality. With its shallow hills in ideal altitude and granite soils, the region offers perfect conditions for a multitude of premium grape varieties. The optimal combination of the various terroirs offers the winery ideal cultivation areas for many varieties like Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Chenin Blanc und Cabernet Sauvignon and therefore a wide range of different top wines.
