Durbanville

Durbanville is located northeast of Cape Town in the Coastal Region district, on the green hills of the Tygerberg Hills. The municipality of Durbanville is one of the oldest in the Cape and is characterized by picturesque grain fields and vineyards. The vineyards are situated at different altitudes, which makes the production of white and red grape varieties possible. Durbanville is also located only 15 kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean and False Bay. The deep and cold granite soils with high clay content store moisture well. The region in South Africa specializes in grape varieties such as Shiraz, Merlot and Sauvignon, which find optimal climatic conditions there.
