Cuvée

Cuvée is a French wine term with different meanings. As a rule, a cuvée is spoken of when wines from several grape varieties or vintages, but of the same origin, are blended. The goal is to produce a higher quality wine. This type of blending is also called blending or blending. The method is particularly popular in sparkling wine production. Champagne made from the Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grape varieties is the most famous blend in the world. In the Champagne wine region, the first and particularly high-quality part of the juice that runs out of the press is also called cuvée. In addition, cuvée is also the mixture of different musts.
