- Only the best barrels were selected
- Full-bodied, complex and unmistakable
- The grapes come from organic farming
The vineyard’s varying altitudes, aspects, solar exposure, and wind patterns - together with the soil - create a unique terroir. This diversity lends the wine complexity, depth, and individual character. For this blend of Merlot (53%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (47%), only the best barrels were selected to ensure the highest quality.
The Spier Farmer Angus Organic Red Blend was matured for twelve months in French oak and a further six months in bottle. It pairs beautifully with pan-seared beef fillet or braised beef short ribs. It is also an excellent match for spiced meat dishes or mature cheese.
The Farmer Angus collection is a collaboration between Spier and Angus McIntosh, a passionate advocate of regenerative agriculture. “These organic wines are the delicious culmination of a longstanding partnership with the Spier team to farm in true harmony with nature,” says Angus McIntosh of the collaboration.
