Muratie Amber Forever n/v

Product information "Muratie Amber Forever n/v"
The gleaming golden Muratie Amber Forever exudes the lush scent of rose petals, poached pears and honey-soaked peaches. And yet the freshness of this irresistible dessert wine is very present thanks to its acidity and perfectly compliments its actual sweetness. Made from Muscat d'Alexandrie grapes, this wine is best enjoyed with a cheese platter or with desserts, fruit and crème brûlée. Incidentally, the Muratie Amber Forever owes its name to the muse of the former owner and painter George Paul Canitz. Her picture still hangs in the Muratie wine cellar today.

Muratie Wine for the Gourmet

Muratie in South Africa produces premium wine for gourmets. Wine novices as well as connoisseurs find the right red or white wine in a variety of ranges. All Muratie wines have in common a particular, individual character and offer an excellent price-quality ratio.

The Muratie Vineyard

The vineyard Muratie attaches great importance to careful handling of the vines at the wine slope. The yard is a member of the Biodiversity and Wine Initiative and does not use herbicides. Only geese, ducks and turkeys are used for pest control. This natural approach shows in the Muratie wine, especially as the wine growers still hand-pick the grapes to avoid peel damage. The Muratie winery owns 45 hectares of cultivation area on which red as well as white grape varieties are planted. The soil is relatively dry which is why the land is watered after the harvest. Only by doing this, the winemakers can supply the next vintage with sufficient nutrients. The 300-year-old yard offers great products in all types of wine, but especially the Shiraz caused a stir internationally.

The Landscape around Muratie

Muratie wine benefits from the good location in South Africa, but even more from the passionate winemakers who deliver premium wine of an international level, year after year, and with great love for detail. Who ever visited Muratie surely noticed the many oak trees - these used to be considered as a protection against wild animals. Nowadays, they make for a breath-taking atmosphere for guests and wine enthusiasts who visit Muratie.
