The classic Cap Classique sparkles in a light golden hue in the glass and immediately impresses with its fine and elegant perlage. The fragrance of green apples, pears and light biscuit notes pampers the senses. On the palate, the blend of Chardonnay (53%), Pinot Noir (46%) and Pinot Meunier (1%) also shows its fruity side with a fine mineral finish. The beautiful acidity gives the Simonsig Kaapse Vonkel Brut a long-lasting pleasure experience. The sparkling wine was produced in the traditional way and underwent the second fermentation in the bottle, after which the Simonsig Kaapse Vonkel Brut lay on its lees for another twenty months. The winery Simonsig is located 45 kilometres away from Cape Town and belongs to the region Stellenbosch. This is not surprising, as Stellenbosch and therefore vineyards such as Simonsig benefit from the ideal location. Soils are full of minerals and supply the vines with precious nutrients due to sufficient rainfall, whilst the breeze from the Atlantic makes for the required cooling.

Additionally, Simonsig is active in preservation of native plants such as the Fynbos.
