Rickety Bridge The Pilgrimage Sémillon 2020

Product information "Rickety Bridge The Pilgrimage Sémillon 2020"
The grapes used for the Rickety Bridge The Pilgrimage Sémillon come from very old vines planted in 1905. They deliver a white wine that impresses with its freshness and complexity on the nose. Citrus and lime aromas are surrounded by floral tones and the perfectly balanced white wine is also multi-layered on the palate with notes of citrus, honey and nougat. The Rickety Bridge The Pilgrimage Sémillon matured for eleven months in oak and remains in the memory for a long time. Whether pure or with dishes of poultry, fish or seafood - the full-bodied white wine is simply a pleasure. The wine is part of the Icon Range and its name describes the path that visitors take to the winery. As the yield of the vineyard is very low, only 1654 bottles of the Rickety Bridge The Pilgrimage Sémillon were produced.

Tradition Meets Modernity at Rickety Bridge

The Rickety Bridge winery is located in the immediate vicinity of Franschhoek, a place known for its excellent South African wines and tasty delicacies. Located between the Dassenberg Mountain and the Franschhoek River, the vineyard blends perfectly into an almost picturesque panorama. Rickety Bridge is a winery with a long tradition. The history goes back to the 17th century, when the manor was part of the La Provence farm. The farm was originally managed by Huguenot farmers and it was not until 1990 that the current Rickety Bridge winery was founded.

Excellent Rickety Bridge Premium Wines

This scenery paired with the unique Franschhoek terroir is perfectly suited cellar mastr Donovan Ackermann to create excellent South African wine. The noble wines are aged in the restored wine cellar. The progressive Rickety Bridge winery relies on the most modern standards in wine production and the winemaker combines perfectionism with passion. The results from the wine cellar are impressive – be it the Rickety Bridge Paulina’s Reserve Collection with excellent red and white wines, named after the first owner of the estate Paulina de Viliers or The Bridge, which stands out as a flagship wine. The estate's South African premium wines have received numerous international awards and know how to inspire the connoisseur.

Rickety Bridge is More Than Just a Winery

The Rickety Bridge winery has a lot more to offer. An exclusive accommodation in the Manor House with only a few rooms for guests leaves nothing to be desired. The beautiful landscape of the estate on the Franschhoek River is something you won't forget. This ambience is perfect for weddings that can be held on the estate. In addition, there is a first-class restaurant with South African cuisine, which also contributes to making the Rickety Bridge Winery such a popular destination for excursions.
