Product information "Waterford Old Vine Project Chenin Blanc 2025"
The grapes are sourced primarily from vineyards older than 35 years, including a historic block planted in 1966. These old vines produce concentrated fruit with remarkable complexity, minerality and structure.
On the nose, the wine reveals tropical fruit, white peach and white nectarine aromas, complemented by subtle floral and mineral nuances. The palate offers refined texture with hints of melon richness, vibrant acidity and a long, precise mineral finish.
The hand-harvested grapes are gently processed and primarily fermented and matured in concrete egg vessels. A small portion is aged in neutral oak barrels, allowing the fruit purity and vineyard character to remain at the forefront. Eleven months of maturation add depth and complexity.
