The vines grow in the stony schist soils of the single vineyards Porseleinberg and Goldmine. This distinctive soil composition lends the wine remarkable complexity and structure.
On the nose, the Syrah reveals ripe dark berries, subtle herbs and a hint of chocolate. The palate is marked by a velvety texture, generous fruit concentration and harmonious spice. The long, elegant finish features a touch of white pepper - a hallmark of both its origin and variety.
The wine gains further complexity and depth through 18 months of ageing in large Austrian oak barrels, which perfectly round off its structure and elegance.
