On the palate, this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (70%), Petit Verdot (14%), Merlot (10%), Cabernet Franc (4%), and Malbec (2%) impresses with exceptional purity and precision. Flavours of dark cherries, blackberries, and plum give it a full-bodied structure. Fine tannins and a long, elegant finish complete the tasting experience of this red wine, which has been aged for 22 months in French oak.
The Tokara Director’s Reserve Red is not only a delight on its own but also pairs beautifully with grilled ribeye steak, served with Béarnaise sauce and Dauphinoise potatoes.
