Winemaker at Groot Constantia: Daniel Keulder
Daniel Keulder follows a clear winemaking philosophy: for him, everything starts with solid fundamentals – both in the vineyard and in the cellar. He believes that wine is not created through technology, but through the precise expression of terroir. That’s why he places great value on being present throughout the entire process – from harvest to bottling – to craft wines that reflect a true sense of place.
After completing his studies in Viticulture and Oenology at Stellenbosch University, his path first led him to other wine regions before returning to the Constantia area. At Groot Constantia, he now combines experience and intuition to create wines with character.
