The bouquet reveals aromas of pineapple, honeysuckle, stone fruit and wet river stones, showcasing the depth and brightness of old-vine Chenin.
On the palate, the wine offers yellow plum, subtle lees sweetness, minerality and a creamy mid-palate. Amphora and older oak contribute texture while maintaining freshness.
Aged for 10 months across amphora, seasoned French oak and stainless steel, this Steen pairs beautifully with Asian cuisine, pork with caramelised apple, seafood, pasta, risotto and goat’s cheese.
