On the palate, the wine delights with flavors of yellow fruits and a refined mineral note. It is fresh, full-bodied, and beautifully balanced by a crisp acidity. The grapes used for the Fairview Old Vine Project Steen come from old vines planted in 1962.
Thanks to Chenin Blanc’s natural sweetness, the Fairview Old Vine Project Steen pairs wonderfully with dishes that have sweet-and-sour elements. Ideal pairings include Asian cuisine or pork chops with caramelized apple. It also shines with light seafood, pasta, risottos, or alongside goat’s cheese.
