The name of the Nederburg The Anchorman Old Vine Chenin Blanc honors Nederburg’s founder, Philippus Wolvaart, who acquired the farm in 1791 and cultivated Chenin Blanc among other varietals. With vision and courage, he tamed the wilderness and laid the foundation for exceptional wines. His spirit lives on in every wine Nederburg produces today.
