The grapes come from a single vineyard in Banghoek, planted on terraces. These special conditions create small, concentrated berries, giving the wine its unique intensity and structure. Ten months of ageing in French oak add depth and elegance without overpowering the fresh fruit flavours.
The Delaire Graff Chardonnay Terraced Block Reserve is already delicious on its own but shows its full potential with fish, poultry or vegetarian dishes. Grilled salmon or creamy pasta pair especially well with its complex fruit and fine almond note. A hearty mushroom dish or a risotto with green asparagus and Parmesan also highlight its elegant structure beautifully.
The 2023 vintage was awarded 94 points by Wine Advocate - another proof of the outstanding quality of this special Chardonnay.
